Food Porn: Liverwurst on a Baguette

As always, the Food Porn collection is my way of washing away the filth that comes from discussing food politics.

I recognize that there are Liverwurst haters out there. To them I say...more for me!!

I LOVE liverwurst and a shared affection for it has been known to cement friendships.

It's naked. Where are the ketchup and sliced onions?

Liverwurst is indeed delicious, and needs no adornment or condementizing.

However, I would argue it does need a more substantial vehicle than a baguette.

Do you have any loaves of rye suitable for paving streets? Those would do nicely.

I find most people have a distaste for organ meats. A lot of organs are also not considered fit for human consumption in the USA even though they are eaten regularly in other parts of the world with few ill effects if any. My latest cooking fetish has been to find a way to make steak and kidney pie in the USA but finding the traditional ox or beef kidneys is difficult, being considered fit only for dog or cat food. If anyone knows a place where they can be obtained, please post it here.
