For context on the 3rd figure, we Americans spend 1 billion dollars annually on gum, and 119 billion dollars is more than the amount of money spent annually on higher education, books, movies, magazines, newspapers, views and music.

Oh, and the most recognizable public figure for school children? That'd be Santa Claus.

I don't know how my butcher did it, but he talked our two boys out of eating McDees or any fast food burger. And this was nearly 2 years ago.
It's so odd to have our kids, who dearly LOVED McDonalds to run away in horror. They won't even CONSIDER it. Not even once.

2) I don't understand the irrational hatred of McDonald's (and other fast food) that some commenters seem to have. Is there really a difference between the 100% beef patty you might cook at home on the barbeque and a 100% beef patty fried and serve on one of those tasteless McDonald's buns?
