Two things: 1) Can someone explain to me the difference between a "reader's choice" and a non-reader's choice? 2) I think next year the judges need to try a little harder to make the Best City Blog cover the city they're about more. They're all great blogs, no denying, but some of those really cover their city, while some not so much. When I think of a blog that should win in this category, I think of one that I feel I'd have to read through and would find an overwhelming amount of information about that city and its food. Only a couple on that list fit, I think. Of course, the final judge in that category does as good as anyone at just that.

I'm surprised Cooking For Engineers ( http://www.cookingforengineers.com ) didn't make this year's list. It was nominated last year but lost (it did win Best Food Blog of 2005 from the Bloggies though). Michael's had quite a few outstanding articles in 2005 and has really (IMHO) taken his blog to the next level as a great resource.

Can The McChronicles get into the running? We really dig fast food (McDonald's) and are totally into blogging. We have been featured in US News & World Report.

Thanks for the consideration.

Hello, I just found out about the Blog awards.

I am co-publisher of a Food and Beverage website, The List, Inc., based out of Washington DC. We cover the great diversity of food and wine events, classes and activities occurring across Greater Washington DC and beyond. Our goal is to become the premier resource for all things food and beverage around the Nation. Over 11,000 lovers of food and beverage currently subscribe to our site. A large percentage travel and live outside of DC. Many of our readers are in the food and beverage industry, including some of the top chefs in the world. Please visit our site at www.thelistareyouonit.com.

Could you please consider our site as a nominee for Best Non-Blogging Food Site at the next Food Blog Awards?

Thanks much!

Lisa

I love food blogs, because I hate advertising driven restaurant review resources.

My blog is called TheLittlePiggy.com - in Victoria, BC. We are the only independant food commentary in a city with a disproportionate number of restaurants. We pride ourselves on self-depracating humour and photos, as well as constructive critisims.

Great resource here - power in numbers
