I liked Barbara's series of posts about food additives and organic foods. I don't know if it qualifies since it was a series of posts, but it was very informative.

I'm sorry - but put every other great 2005 blog post on the food blog planet together in one whopping big post and it still wouldn't come anywhere near beating this. How could it not win?

I wasn't gonna bother nominating this year, but I won't stand for Autumn Omakase not getting any recognition. And please don't tell me blog download pdfs don't count.

My favorite post of all time has got to one entitled "Dear Ladurée" by Oswego Tea. I have read that post about 50 times and it brings a smile to my face everytime. It's just perfectly well-written, poetic, funny, charming and descriptive all at the same time. Here is the link:

Since others are nominating serieseseseseses, I'll nominate one of my own, my Diet for Charity that I did early this year:

http://www.extramsg.com/modules.php?name=News&new_topic=6

I hit 240 lbs and decided to lose some weight. To encourage myself and make it about something more than my fat ass, I got sponsors who pledged a certain dollar amount per pound that I lost. I lost 20 lbs in one month and earned about $1000 for the Oregon Food Bank.

A couple of Domestic Goddess entries:

Toast-Sticks... you just can't discuss the year's best posts without this post, and the "recipe" with it is sheer simple magic.

My Love Affair... as concise and on-point a synopsis of why we love to cook as I have read in blogland...

I don't really care if either of these get nominated. I just would really recommend people read them.

I totally second the Peter Jennings post nomination -- wonderful piece!

And, well... I wasn't going to do this, but I can't help myself. Pride in my work duked it out with modesty and pride won. So, submitted for your consideration, a collection of posts from the Belly Timber vaults:

Embracing our Inner Web Stat
(aka the Messy Kitchen Post)

Rachael Ray for a Day
, a drama in three acts.

SHF:The Swift-Tuttle Dark Chocolate Espresso Berry Comet Truffle.

The Sweet Fleet.

Dine and Dish, the tardy Frosh edition
(an inside look at a brand new restaurant)

Seis de Mayo
, Chopper's look at the moles of Mexico.
