Gluten-Free Girl -- I love reading her stories and adventures.

My Madeleine -- Molly didn't post for a few months because she was hit by a car, but she is back and working in a bakery! Her story is not only incredibly touching, but also incredibly written. (http://mollysmadeleine.blogspot.com)

Off the bone -- this blog is not just about finding fun new combinations of ingredients or showing off flashy photography. It's about culture, history, and psychology of food. It borders on being poetic. (http://www.offthebone.net/)

Hands down, mollysmadeleine.blogspot.com

If you haven't seen it yet, stop everything you're doing and go read it now! She's young, she's brilliant, she's got perspective, she writes like a seasoned pro and she's got a story as well as a sense of how food fits into the glories, the grit the challenges and the triumphs of life.

You'll be quoting her one day. You might as well find out why now.

I nominate Superchefblog for Writing, demonstrated time and time again over the past year:

• Most complete coverage of this year's White House Chef selection - example "White House Chef: Close to the Bone" which predicted Cris Comerford's selection

• Best chef profiles, including profiles of some 20 woman chef nominees in addition to in-depth chef profiles - example "Suvir Saran - Super Chef"

• Best critiques of Food Television - example, "Kitchen Confidential: Spiceless"

• Most thoughtful Cookbook reviews - example "Cocina Betty Crocker: Portent?" which was picked up and syndicated nationwide in articles by The Houston Chronicle and The Philadelphia Inquirer

• Best dicussions of Chefs in Politics - example "Foie Gras War: Voodoo and Vigilantes"

• Funnest pokes and Humor - many examples, of which one of the most recent was "The Sex in Christmas"

• Coverage of Hurricane Katrina and the Asian Tsunami

I also think Superchefblog's article images are thoughtfully chosen to compliment the Writing and are often wildly sarcastic -- for those who read at more than a cursory glance.

Click through Superchefblog to enjoy -- and be sure to vote for my favorite reading (and yours), Superchefblog.

www.ChowMag.com is the weblog for the new food magazine called CHOW. CHOW takes a smart, fresh, (and sometimes a little wacky) approach towards addressing food topics and cooking. The weblog is great--even more personal than the magazine. The Editor in Chief, Jane Goldman, posts quite often, putting an original spin on notable (and quotable) goings-on in the food world.
