So this is where all the food blogs are listed! Ah ha.

Anyway, I'd like to nominate myself. Will post about your contest soon and will start adding everyone's URLs to my site.

BTW, Zero Boss's Best of Blogs Awards (http://www.blogmechanics.com/bob/) also has a food category.

Got to be Alan at the Impetuous Epicure (http://www.impetuous-epicure.com/). Only 14 (actually just had his 15th B'day) but really cooking with gas, as it were.

If you select his blog, he just might bake you a pie, too.

i'd like to nominate Vinography.com. I'm fairly new to San Francisco and the wine culture. Vinography is just the perfect balance of great finds, detailed reviews of the top restaurants in the city, and interesting articles for someone just developing a pallate for wine.

My recommendation, for wholesome, healthy tasty recipes with a liberal sprinkling of booze and a good portion of rantings, you'd struggle to find a better blog than the NoshBlog of Jonny B.
PermalinkPermalink 12/13/04 @ 08:38
I second the NoshBlog for great food and great entertainment value.
PermalinkPermalink 12/13/04 @ 08:50
I think the best new blog is http://www.maths.ex.ac.uk/%7Ejonb/noshblog/noshblog.html

This site offers great recipes mixed with an entertaining side dish of the daily trial and tribulation of a true foody in a foriegn country. Read the "vegetarian week" challange to see how a born carnivore survives!
PermalinkPermalink 12/13/04 @ 13:29
The best new blog...

http://www.maths.ex.ac.uk/%7Ejonb/noshblog/noshblog.html

Very funny, dry wit. But very moist
cooking.

Enjoy.

Such a refreshing sight. For my best food blog nomination it has to be the only site that touts ketchup as the new garlic!

http://www.secsm.ex.ac.uk/~jonb/noshblog/noshblog.html

I must also add that I have some bias as I want to encourage Jon to reveal more of how he manages to russle up great meals out of a cupboard that you thought was bare.

This is also an opportunity to let his 'public' know that he does allow doctored pictures (check out the 2 identical ketchup bottles on Friday 26/11/2004) and make up henious stories.

Culiblog was launched at the current URL
http://www.culiblog.org on November 7th 2004. I had written posts in a secret BETA blog for 6 invited readers before that time - as a test to see if it would be successful. (I considered myself lucky if 6 readers showed up.) I prepared all entries for launch in the first week of November, 2004. My sysop will vouch for this. Culiblog was launched at the Mediamatic Super Salon on the 7th of November, 2004 before an audience.

Ooooh the competition is fierce! We're starting to get niggly about the rules.

Which reminds me... WHERE ARE THE RULES!? I would be interested in seeing some procedure posted. One more day of nominations but how will the judging process take place?

Is the number of nominations the voting process or will a jury of expert peers review the weblogs?

Warm regardisms Collaegae,

Debra Solomon
