I am a blogger. Normally, a political blogger. I blogged for the Kerry campaign in 2003 to Election Day 2004. I blogged at a citizen's action group site called Democracy Cell Project, based in Washington D.C. And I comment regularly at Daily KOS. Now many of you probably don't know the political blogs, or maybe you do.

I am here because I basically need a friggin' sanctuary, a respite from madness. Its 2008, an election year for Chrissakes, and I need to get away from insane people!

I am the daughter of a cook and now I cater and produce events. I love to go over to my friends houses and cook them dinner. I am addicted to Saveur, have continued fantasies about chuck roast (its MY bacon), and love roasted chicken with skin on. When push comes to shove, I have been known to eat breakfast for dinner (eggs and...). And sometimes, a good batch of French fries and a vodka martini with a twist makes up for a bad day at the office.

Needless to say, my doctor and I have had words. So now I am well-behaved, food-wise. But writing about food is just as pleasurable to me as eating it, and it certainly is healthier.
